10 Steps for Asbestos Management Plan

Asbestos should not be taken lightly and a proper Asbestos Management Plan (AMP) should be made and followed by everyone who comes in day to day contact with the mineral.Most buildings today are constructed from Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM's). So Never think you're not in touch of the mineral.
If you suspect asbestos to be present in your own house than you should follow these steps in order to protect yourself from the risk and dangers of asbestos.

Here are some important steps that you can follow to make your own asbestos management plan :

<li><p>Maintain a separate copy that includes 'Steps to be Followed' if someone comes in contact with these Asbestos Containing Materials or with Asbestos fibers.</p></li>
<li><p>Share knowledge about your record book to everyone concerned with it.Let them be aware about the risks and dangers of the ACM present in your locality.</p></li>
<li><p>You can even make your own organization on Society level so that the duties can be divided among individuals.</p></li>
<li><p>Regularly Check Public Buildings and Commercial buildings in your locality.</p></li>
<li><p>If you doubt about a material that whether it contain asbestos or not than take a sample and send it to the nearest lab.Until treat that material as if it contains Asbestos.</p></li>
<li><p>Let everyone aware about the Risk Management plan so that in your absence others should know what to do if someone comes in contacts with asbestos fibers.</p></li>
